Clearabee, the on-demand rubbish removal business, has announced that it has been awarded a three-year, multi-million pound contract to provide reactive waste removal services to the Co-op.
Clearabee has been appointed to handle all unplanned waste removal requirements for the Co-op’s retail and Funeralcare businesses across the United Kingdom. Clearabee will provide on-demand removal of bulky waste at the Co-op’s 2,500 retail stores and 1,000 funeral homes nationwide.
The contract is one of Clearabee’s biggest commercial deals ever with in excess of 5,000 on-demand anticipated waste collections a year. Requests will be serviced by Clearabee’s in-house team of 250 people and fleet of 100 vehicles located across the UK.
Daniel Long, founder and managing director at Clearabee, comments: “This deal further demonstrates our ability to serve major retail organisations at scale and we are delighted to have been appointed by the Co-op. Our innovative approach and nationwide reach means we can respond rapidly and efficiently to the Co-op’s waste removal requests, and cut its cost associated with removing unplanned rubbish.”
Abbie Case, Senior Contract Manager, Co-op Group Property, comments: “Co-op is delighted to be working with Clearabee, which is an innovative and dynamic company with a great service and a highly responsive team. As a well known brand in the retail industry we need to work with organisations that we can rely on, Clearabee has proven to us that it can support our business reliably, at scale and precisely when and where we need them to.”
