Complete fleet management solutions provider Trakm8 to upgrade all users of their existing SWIFT fleet management system

The free of charge upgrade is to their recently launched Trakm8 Swift Fleet Classic Package. Trakm8 believe the new SWIFT packages will help customers enhance the utilisation of their fleets.

The Classic Package is fully upgradable to both the Fleet Advanced and Fleet Premier packages. The Classic Package has been redesigned to make mapping and reporting faster than ever; colour coded ‘Places of Interests’ (POI) can be used to easily identify areas of importance, ideal for indentifying routes and multi site deliveries; New speeding reports to identify persistent offenders to aid and improve driver safety and fuel consumption; New user access levels which can provide 3rd party companies with the ability to log in to see specific vehicles; New additional search functions so customers can locate streets or towns and identify the nearest driver to a job; New coloured vehicle icons on the map to easily identify vehicles which are Idling, parked or in-transit; Cross browser support means Fleet Classic Package is now compatible with Firefox, Safari and Chrome web browsers.

Existing customers will also have the opportunity to upgrade to the Trakm8 SWIFT Fleet Advanced package which has all the features of the Fleet Classic Package but also comes with e-mail alerts; fuel cost reports, aerial photography and 1 minute live updates. E-mail alerts are useful for alerting customers when a vehicle enters or exits a place of interest i.e. a destination or from a particular hub. Speeding reports can help identify over speeds and hence improve safety. Finally, Customer service can be improved by the 1 minute live updates which will provide more accurate delivery times.

Fleet Managers who maintain their fleets in house may find the Trakm8 SWIFT Fleet Premier of interest as within this package the hardware connects to the vehicle CANbus. This can allow vehicle fault codes to be communicated to the workshop before the vehicle gets back to base, and could allow maintenance technicians to order parts in good time for the actual repair. This connection also enables fleet managers to monitor fuel usage, understand exactly which drivers use the most fuel and why. In addition Swift Fleet Premier allows the monitoring of carbon emissions, brake counts, and coolant temperatures providing extremely useful management information.
