Twenty-five years ago, five micro-computer dealerships banded together to find a better way to do business, launching the Computing Technology Industry Association. Today, their creation CompTIA counts more than 22,000 member companies from more than 100 countries, and is considered the leading association in the $1 trillion-plus IT industry.
Growth of that magnitude requires a tremendous amount of innovation. And at this year's Breakaway conference, CompTIA will recognize innovation and creativity in the software industry when it presents the first SoftwareCEO Software Innovation Awards. (More information appears in the release pasted below my e-signature.)
This is the first program announcement for CompTIA's Breakaway Conference, being held July 31 to August 2 at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, and I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to attend.
In addition to seeing the presentation of the SoftwareCEO Innovation Awards and having the opportunity to be on hand for CompTIA's 25-Year Anniversary Celebration (details to come), media attending Breakaway have the chance to meet face-to-face with executives from leading technology manufacturers and vendors from around the world.
CompTIA is organizing a great educational program and will have industry leaders on hand to share research results on converged communications, IT security, RFID technology, managed services and more - and as an attendee, you will have access to all of these informative sessions.
Breakaway will also host three great keynote presentations: Technology Futurist Dr. James Canton opens the show on Monday July 31, followed by Microsoft COO Kevin Turner on Tuesday and Christopher Gardner, business leader and author of the book that was converted into the box-office hit The Pursuit of Happyness.
