Cross Country Carriers takes delivery of new vehicles

Cross Country Carriers, a logistics company with 35 years’ experience in road transport and freight distribution, and member of the Palletways network, has expanded its fleet of vehicles to accommodate its growing number of national and European customers.

The new vehicles are part of an on-going investment, which will see four new vehicles on the road in 2013. Two new DAF 18Ton vehicles recently joined the company’s fleet of 28 vehicles.

Jon Humphry, Director of Cross Country Carriers, which boasts a 56,000 sq ft storage warehouse, said: "Not only will this investment allow us to continue to develop our business via the Palletways network, but it will also enable us to maintain the leading edge service that we provide to our customers as we grow."

"The new vehicles include the latest innovations in satellite tracking and also offer greater environmental benefits, complying with Euro 5 emissions standards".

Cross Country Carriers, which is celebrating its 35th Anniversary in 2013, is one of over 100 members in the Palletways UK network – Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. Palletways’ distribution networks are made up of independent transport companies who share each other’s resources to deliver small consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before.
