Culina appoints new supply chain manager

Culina Logistics, the chilled food and drink supply chain specialist, has appointed Alistair Brown as a new supply chain development manager.

Alistair will be responsible for several major clients and working as part of the UK commercial team to help customers optimise efficiencies within the supply chain.

In the short term he is aiming to strengthen relationships with clients and drive internal initiatives that enhance service levels as Culina plans to increase its market share in the temperature controlled sector.

Alistair joins Culina from UPS, where he spent six years developing strong customer communication skills and managed existing and new client accounts. He also spent a time working on special assignments involving both internal and external projects.

The new appointment strengthens the management team and is set to further enhance the strong relations the company has developed with its customers.

Based at Culina's modern distribution centre at Prime Point in Staffordshire, Alistair will report to Andy Newnes, UK sales manager for Culina, who is responsible for the company's commercial activities in the UK.

Alistair is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport UK. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, world travel and is also a fan of cricket.
