Cumberland Reinforcements completes hat-trick of new Isuzu vehicles

With two years experience of running Isuzu trucks at both 18t and 7.5t, Dorset based steel stockholder Cumberland Reinforcements has recently completed a hat-trick of Isuzus by ordering an additional 3.5t Isuzu Grafter which is to be used primarily for local delivery and collection work.

Cumberland Reinforcements, a family company established over 30 years, now runs a totally Isuzu based fleet of vehicles and as managing director Martin Cumberland explains; "We find that the Isuzu trucks are excellent workhorses for our type of business, giving us everything we need. In addition, we also receive excellent support from the local dealer Ferndown Commercials, who are not only close at hand, but also give us first-class service."

Supplied by Isuzu dealer Ferndown Commercials, the latest 3.5t Isuzu Grafter is fitted with a flatbed body, which is a similar specification to both the previous 18t and 7.5t Isuzu rigids within the Cumberland Reinforcements fleet. All the vehicles operate within a 100-mile radius of the company’s steel stockholding and fabrication site located in Poole, Dorset.

"This hat-trick of new Isuzus for Cumberland Reinforcements demonstrates the strength and breadth of the Isuzu product range. It’s great that we are able to supply companies with vehicles from 3.5t up to 18t. Equally, it also demonstrates the quality of our dealer network, in this case with Ferndown Commercials, playing a key role in successfully implementing our highly praised and award-winning customer CARE programme with this customer," said Keith Child, marketing director, Isuzu Truck.
