B&B Attachments Ltd, located in Cramlington, Northumberland is the leading independent supplier of forklift truck attachments in the UK. The company will be attending the Industrial Materials Handling Exhibition 2013, at Birmingham's the National Exhibition Centre. For this year's show, they are to utilise a combination of a highly-experienced sales force, with regular exhibition attendance, to promise visitors to their stand an unrivalled customer experience.
Established in 1980, B&B is responsible for the nationwide, and international, sale and hire of forklift truck attachments; including its two main suppliers, KAUP GmbH & Co. KG and Liftech. Alongside this, they design their own products in-house, and arrange service contracts for the maintenance of their customers' attachments.
Taking place from 19th- 22nd of March, IMHX 2013 is attended by 20,000 logistics professionals and 400 exhibiting companies. At stand number 18M90.1, B&B will showcase their newest products, KAUP's 2T156 Fork Positioner and Conveyer Belt Forks, alongside a KAUP Keg Clamp, Roll Clamp and Triple Pallet handler, with an additional Tygard Layermaster.
B&B's current sales force has nearly 100 years of experience in the materials handling field. Sales Director Neal Fowler began working for B&B as an Area Sales Representative and in the years that followed gained extensive knowledge of materials-handling applications. This year marks Neal's 20th year with the company.
Neal enthuses about what they can offer at this event:
"This year we will have a more experienced team than ever- I'll be delighted to have Key Accounts Managers Lee Getty and David Swait with me. They have the expertise to showcase the products we have on display in a way that's interesting and accessible, regardless of your attachment knowledge. They will be on-hand to answer any questions visitors have, enabling them to make the most of their time on the stand."
Also within the sales team will be Managing Director Mike Barton who has worked in the forklift and attachment industry for 47 years. In addition to his unparalleled knowledge of the field, Mike contributes over 30 years of exhibition experience, so knows exactly what visitors are looking for.
Mike was present when B&B attended their first exhibition in 1982.
Mike discusses the changes he's noticed over the years:
"When I look back at the first show, I'm amazed at not only how far B&B Attachments has come, but how the industry has also developed. The first, in Earl's Court, London, was part of a much wider exhibition for multiple industries. Our stand there measured three metres squared, and had just one attachment on it.
"Now, with IMHX in place, the materials handing industry has an exhibition all of its own. B&B Attachments holds the biggest stand we've ever had, and we'll be showcasing a total of six products this year. Since the first show in 1982, B&B have attended every national UK exhibition available in our field, giving 100% support to our industry. That's something I'm very proud of."
At the exhibition, B&B have the opportunity to speak to their customers, the forklift truck industry, and their customers' end-users. This allows the end-user the chance to see who their suppliers' work with, and provide them with information about attachments. Through this unique opportunity, guests can sit down with a member of the B&B team and discuss ways that different products could improve efficiency for their business.
From his work at previous shows, Mike Barton provides advice for visitors coming to IMHX for the first time:
"If you're new to IMHX, I suggest that your plans account for the size of this year's exhibition. I'd say you'd need two full days to visit everything, and fully explore what's on offer. Alongside the extensive number of exhibitors attending the show, there are also workshops and presentations taking place this year, which I'd suggest visitors should also take full advantage of; there'll be endless amounts of well-informed industry people there, who have interesting information to share."
