Midlands-based business-to-business outsourcing specialist, Merit Outsourcing, has been appointed by DHL Environmental Compliance Solutions to enhance the integrity of its database marketing and help it to secure more business related to new environmental legislation.
DHL has a strong track record in the environmental sector, providing a range of services to businesses faced with a host of environmental obligations emanating from packaging waste legislation and the forthcoming Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) Directive. Merit has been engaged to manage and cleanse DHL's database of over 7,000 businesses that may be affected by the WEEE Directive which is due to come into force in the UK in July 2007.
Merit was able to provide a fast, efficient and low cost solution to the inherently complex and costly process of database verification, using a mixture of UK-based and offshore facilities.
