The visit will consist of a port tour, and guests will have the opportunity to visit the Control Room at the Marine Control Centre. Immingham is the UK's largest port by tonnage. Benefiting from a prime deep-water location on the Humber Estuary, Immingham provides excellent access to the trade routes between the UK and Scandinavia, the Baltic states and mainland Europe. The Marine Control Centre is vital to marine safety on the Humber. It regulates all shipping movements within the limits of Immingham's harbour, which extends 200 yards from the face of the port's river jetties and therefore overlaps with the deepwater channel of the main estuary. It is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a 360-degree view of the port and is vital to Immingham - and, by extension, the Humber as a whole.

There is a maximum of 25 places available for this event.
