DIARY DATE – PRO2PAC 2009

What: Now in its second year, Pro2Pac 2009 is the only biennial exhibition dedicated to processing and packaging in the food and drink sector and is widely recognised as one of the industry's must-attend exhibitions. Showcasing the latest ideas and ground-breaking innovations, equipment, light machinery, systems, technology, services and materials, Pro2Pac gives visitors a unique 360° perspective of the food and drink industry. Sited alongside IFE09, the show attracts a truly international audience of manufacturers, retailers and third-party suppliers and in 2007, 12,900 registered visitors (ABC audited) looked to source solutions to their processing and packaging needs.

How to get there:

By air: London City Airport is just five minutes away by car or taxi from ExCeL and London Stanstead is only 35 minutes drive away. London's Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are within easy reach and have great links to central railway stations where the underground can be picked up.

By rail: The London Underground and Docklands Light Railway (DLR) provide direct links to the exhibition centre. The main Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station serving ExCeL is Custom House, while Royal Victoria and Prince Regent provide access to other areas of the site. The DLR can be boarded from the underground at Bank, Tower Gateway, Canning Town, Stratford and Bow Church.

By road: ExCeL is easily accessible with direct access to a dual carriageway linking it to the M25, M11 and the North Circular (A406). The journey time to ExCeL from J27 of the M25 is only 25 minutes. The Limehouse Link provides a route through to ExCeL from the City, Embankment, Victoria and the West End. There is extensive parking with 5,700 on-site spaces.

By river: London ExCel can also be reached by the River Thames. The nearest pier is Canary Wharf Pier, where onward connections via the DLR provide fast access to the centre.
