Tune into Dickies at Morning Break time
Dickies’ nationwide UK Worker of the Year "good news initiative" breaks cover on TalkSport Radio starting on Monday 17th May. A series of different advertisements will run immediately after the 11.00 News and these are set to be a daily feature of TalkSport listeners’ lives until nominations close at the end of August.
"We obviously looked at all of the available options for promoting UK Worker of the Year and, from the outset, radio advertising was a strong contender," explains Dickies UK Sales and Marketing Director, Maurice Morton. "Radio gives us national reach and the chance, we hope, to both inform and entertain people as well, of course, as attracting them to enter the competition to become the very first UK Worker of the Year. TalkSport has a great reach, both in terms of numbers and profile and we wanted to go out at a time when people are having their tea breaks, so we opted to book a regular slot as the first ad after the 11.00 News."
Dickies launched their UK Worker of the Year initiative two weeks ago and initial reaction has been extremely positive, both in terms of coverage and entries.
"The scheme seems to be capturing people’s imagination and that’s excellent news. UK Worker of the Year delivers a good, positive message, which is something we’re delighted to be able to offer in what are not the easiest of times," continues Maurice Morton. "It’s great to be able to recognise people in Britain doing a good job and, as the scheme is free to enter, and there are some excellent prizes – as well as the honour of being the first UK Worker of the Year – we hope everyone will seize the opportunity and nominate themselves or a colleague!"
