Dieselec Thistle Generators DTG has supplied and installed a back-up power supply to the new main stand at Liverpool FC’s famous Anfield stadium.

A 700kVA generator set with acoustic enclosure, silencer and exhaust was specified, and the set was installed with a remote fuel fill point.

Mark Taylor, DTG Project Manager, said: “It is great to be involved in the major redevelopment of such an iconic landmark. The installation was challenging, but our experience in major infrastructure projects ensured the job was delivered to our high standards with success.”

Liverpool FC is redeveloping its iconic Anfield stadium, as part of a £260m scheme for the whole Anfield area. The ground, famed for its Kop stand and thrilling big-game

atmosphere in the Premier League and on Champions League nights, will have its capacity extended by an extra 13,000 seats and the development is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of the 2016-17 season.
