DPD UK wins Customer Experience & Loyalty Award at the 2019 National Business Awards

The UK’s number 1 domestic parcels carrier DPD UK has been honoured at the 2019 National Business Awards, winning the Customer Experience & Loyalty Award.

Astronaut Tim Peake was the keynote speaker at the ceremony in front of 1,200 business leaders, investors and representatives from Government and the press, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane.

The awards – known as the ‘Oscars of UK plc’ – are the UK’s most prestigious business awards programme and attract entries from across the public and private sector. The awards are judged by an independent panel consisting of business leaders and industry experts.

Celebrating those organisations that consistently deliver exceptional customer experience with a positive impact to the bottom line, the Customer Experience & Loyalty Award is sponsored by Virgin Atlantic.

What the judges said about DPD UK:

“Revising their entire company strategy with the goal of providing the best customer delivery experience against their competitors has seen DPD UK streamline their services and logistics to make the whole process more transparent. Their award winning tracking app has placed them first-in-class against their global competitors.”

The win maintains DPD UK’s impressive track record at the National Business Awards. While the Customer Experience & Loyalty award was a brand new category for 2019, DPD UK had previously won the Customer Focus category in 2009, 2013 and 2016.

Dwain McDonald, DPD UK’s CEO, commented; “This is another fantastic award win and it is a massive team effort. I must thank everyone involved, right across the company, for their hard work and dedication in giving our customers the best possible experience. We are the leaders in our sector, and we were the only parcel carrier shortlisted on the night amongst the 150 finalists, but the National Business Awards are still the one that everyone wants to win, so this means a huge amount to us.”
