M&W Toyota Handling is helping a global supplier to the car industry drive success with the delivery of a new fleet of 29 forklift trucks.
A partner for major car manufacturers across the world, DENSO supplies advanced automotive technology, systems and components in the field of climate control, engine management, body electronics and driving control and safety. Used in all stages of the manufacturing process, M&W Toyota Handling has supplied the company's Telford site with a range of Toyota gas and electric forklift trucks.
To increase safety, productivity and efficiency, the entire fleet has been installed with a wireless log-it system. Linked to a central computer, the system provides a range of features which allows all stages of the materials handling process to be logged and managed.
Anthony Stanley, Logistics Engineer at DENSO comments: 'Toyota forklift trucks are an integral part of the manufacturing process and are used throughout the site. We have found the log-it system to be extremely beneficial addition as it gives us greater control over the trucks and drivers, helping to increase safety and efficiency.
Darron Hillier, Strategic Account Manager, M&W Toyota Handling added: 'We have been working with DENSO for the past 13 years and throughout this time have provided them with a number of innovative materials handling solutions. To help ensure the site continues to benefit from cutting edge equipment, the fleet has been purchased on a contract hire scheme. This allows the customer to change and update their equipment every five years.'
