DSV Air & Sea Limited has announced it has launched its own courier and express service that will enable customers to use one company for all their logistics needs.
Online pricing enquiries, booking, track & trace, POD (Point Of Delivery) and invoicing place DSV XPress among the technological leaders on the courier market, and the services are aimed at customers who request same-day or next-day delivery of anything from bulky shipments to documents.
The price of a service is flexible, depending on the urgency of the shipment.
The concept is simple, because DSV XPress enables the company to offer in-house solutions for all available shipping and logistics services in one and the same place.
"Instead of having to use one company for sea and air and others for road, warehousing and courier, we can now offer a single point of contact for all logistics services," says Martin Rutter who will lead DSV XPress in the UK.
"Also, our strong buying power and economies of scale enable us to offer the product on very competitive terms."
DSV XPress is based on a desire to retain customers and has already operated for twenty years in Germany.
Currently, the express service is offered in Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, and now also Sweden and the UK – via a user-friendly, internet-based platform.
