A fleet of Terex Finlay J-1175 jaw crushers are proving their worth at Earthline sites across Oxfordshire.
Earthline has ordered three more machines from Finlay Plant SW - part of the Finlay Group of companies – for its Shipton, Hatford and Shellingford quarries.
All three sites produce high quality limestone and bespoke J-1175s have been delivered to each of the locations to enhance operations on site and support increased demand for their high quality processed products.
The machines have been selected based on the performance of existing J-1175s, which already operate at the quarries.
Earthline worked with the MD of Finlay Plant SW, Gareth Johnson, to introduce their own modifications to the J1175s to meet their exact needs.
The bespoke additions – including a more compact hopper configuration, and high specification rubber hopper base - were carried out by Finlay Group’s own engineering team. A constant speed engine was also chosen to avoid the need to add diesel exhaust fluid.
Earthline has its headquarters near Marlborough, Wiltshire, and specialises in contract earthmoving, landfill facilities and aggregate supplies. Steve Wiltshire, a site manager at Earthline, said: “The new Terex Finlay J-1175s do a very good job for us and provide good value for money.
“The machines are backed up with great support on site from Finlay Plant SW.”
The Terex Finlay J-1175 is a high performance and aggressive tracked mobile jaw crusher.
Incorporating a Terex Jaques JW42 jaw crusher and a heavy duty vibrating grizzly feeder, the machine gives optimum production in a range of applications.
Its compact size, quick set up times, ease of transport and simple maintenance make it ideal for quarrying, as well as mining, demolition and recycling environments.
Along with the latest addition of the three J-1175s, Earthline has also recently purchased two Terex Finlay 883s and an 883 Spaleck to join its existing Terex Finlay fleet, which comprises of a wide-range of plant, all developed to work in unison to process limestone quarried at the sites.
Gareth Johnson said: “The J-1175s are working exceptionally well and playing a key part in operations to ensure high value products are processed with maximum output.
“Large sized product is excavated and this is surrounded by clay. The material goes straight into the J-1175s and the machines’ independent pre-screens and larger openings make it ideal for this type of application.”
