easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011, a brand new show focused on the complete materials handling supply-chain, will be playing host to the very latest products and services focused purely on the Materials Handling industry.
easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011, which takes place on the 30th & 31st March 2011 at Birmingham's NEC, will be a power-packed two day show with an array of top exhibitors launching their latest Materials Handling solutions for the first time. It will be the perfect event for all those working in the Logistics, Distribution and Supply-chain functions through to Operations, Plant and Production managers.
Pickerings Lifts Supply Chain Group, one of the early exhibitors to sign up to easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011, is expecting its new status as UK distributor of the much anticipated TKO® Dock Doors to generate considerable interest at the show.
With 156 years of trading experience, Pickerings Lifts, which operates nationally, has already installed the impact resistant doors for customers in the UK, including high street retailers and a major supermarket chain.
Marcus Clissold, National Supply Chain Manager at Pickerings Lifts, says: "This is one of the most exciting Loading Equipment products we have taken to market recently and it is creating a buzz in the industry. We have already received considerable interest in it, as well as the other products that we will be exhibiting at the new show. easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011 is the perfect place for us to give visitors a thorough understanding of how TKO® Dock Doors can benefit their businesses."
JBT Corporation will also be using the new show to showcase their latest offerings. Kenny Watson, European Business Development Manager at JBT Corporation comments: "We will be exhibiting our latest automated guided vehicles (AGVs) which are mobile robots used to move materials within a facility."
AGVs traditionally have been used in manufacturing plants to move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. At easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011, JBT Corporation will be highlighting some of the new applications of AGVs.
Kenny explains: "There is great interest in using AGVs to move materials in warehouses and distribution centres and even hospitals. As these industries look to manage costs and improve productivity, AGVs will deliver those benefits while also offering the flexibility to change and adapt as the facilities change and grow. As a new event, easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011 is a great venue to demonstrate the newest applications where efficient material movement can create a competitive advantage."
"I agree," said Dareen Papani, Managing Director of Edmolift UL Ltd, who are also signed up to exhibit at the new show. "We see easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011 as a serious product and application focused event. We are very pleased to be exhibiting at this inaugural show and intend to use the show as an ideal opportunity to reinforce the benefits and advantages of our new five year warranty and LiftAssist service package."
Loading bay solutions supplier Easilift Loading Systems will also be exhibiting at the new show. Just recently the company joined forces with one of the world's leading access management system manufacturers to devise an innovative solution to the problem of drive-away accidents.
Called the Anti-Drive-Off - Loading Bay Management System, the solution synchronises the dock door and associated control equipment with an electronic key control system manufactured by Traka.
The new system, which will be on show at easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011, can be retro-fitted to current installations, which ensures that not only are drivers prevented from moving their vehicles, but that the dock doors are only opened by qualified staff.
Easilift Sales Director David Whyatt believes the Anti-Drive-Off - Loading Bay Management System is the best there is.
He comments: "Given the high vehicle and personnel activity and movement levels in and around the loading bay in a busy warehouse, it is perhaps no surprise that drive-away accidents do sometimes happen.
"As a leading specialist supplier of total loading bay solutions, we were determined to find a practical and cost-effective answer to this on-going problem and are therefore proud to have worked together with Traka to develop what we believe is now the most technically advanced anti drive-off system on the market."
However, for those who don't have a dedicated, raised loading bay area and want to increase efficiency, enhance safety and save money during vehicle loading and unloading, then they need look no further than Thorworld Industries who will also be exhibiting at easyFairs MATERIALS HANDLING 2011.
The Midlands-based loading and unloading specialist offers the most comprehensive range of mobile yardramps specifically designed for the fast and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles and containers by forklift truck.
There are three main Thorworld mobile yardramp ranges available, including Super Deluxe, Deluxe and Standard (heavy, medium and light duty) models, which have all been developed by the company's in-house design engineers and manufactured using up-to-the-minute production equipment and techniques.
"Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently can have a huge impact on a company's bottom line," explains John Meale, Managing Director of Thorworld Industries. He adds: "As a result, we have worked hard to develop a range of yardramps that are extremely easy to use and which can withstand the rigours associated with everything from occasional to constant use."
