Easyfairs packaging wraps up deal with BPIF Cartons

Trade show specialists, easyFairs®, has completed a deal that will see both organisations working together once again for PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011 & 2012 at the Business Design Centre in Islington, and the 2012 packaging event at the NEC next year on 29th February and 1st March 2012.

BPIF Cartons is the folding carton special interest group of the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), the business support organisation for employers in the printing, packaging and graphic communications industry. BPIF Cartons membership represents three quarters of the UK carton market. The deepening involvement of such a major player in packaging reflects the overwhelming success PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London had in its first year.

Commenting on the deal, Neal Whipp, General Manager at BPIF Cartons, says: "It's fantastic to be working with easyFairs® again. The first PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London show was an important step for us in getting our message across, and that is why we are committed to this year's show as well as next year's to build on this. It's the only London show which looks at the carton market - so when we had the chance to get involved again we jumped at it."

He continues: "BPIF Cartons is emphasising its role as the voice of the UK carton industry. Many top decision makers have carton packaging issues on their agendas, and PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London, along with the easyFairs® NEC Packaging shows is a brilliant way to reach them - so for us they are both critical events in our marketing plans."

Following last years successful debut, which attracted over 2,000 visitors, PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011 (6 & 7 October 2011), looks set to be even bigger and better, making it a diary date must for brand managers, marketers, manufacturers and retailers seeking the ultimate packaging solutions.

PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011 will be showcasing all that is new in primary and secondary packaging. The show will also include four other key areas:

DESIGN VILLAGE - An inspiring zone which provides a unique opportunity for brand owners to meet face-to-face with creative professionals and discuss brand management and shelf standout

LUXURY PACKAGING - A brand new area to source luxurious materials to portray high-end products and special editions through their packaging

PRINT FOR PACKAGING - The place to find innovations in print solutions, whether dealing with immediate consumer demand or utilising technology to bring your product to life

CONTRACT PACK - The place to find a professional outsourcing partner in the contract packing and contract manufacturing arena

Matt Benyon, Managing Director at easyFairs® UK and Ireland, comments: "The London show's debut was superb. It told us unequivocally that our instinct had been right, that there is a real need for a dedicated packaging event in the capital. BPIF Cartons commitment to this year's show and next year's is a further ringing endorsement. We're now all set to take PACKAGING INNOVATIONS London 2011 and 2012, as well as our 2012 NEC packaging shows, to the next level."
