Rangespan's technology helps retailers expand and optimise their product range to more closely match online market demand. It includes data analytics that tracks and ranks more than 120 million products, to provide retailers with better visibility of the range that they don't already offer. The company also operates a supplier integration platform that automates dropship supplier management and product set-up tasks, to reduce the costs of product range expansion.
Rangespan was founded in 2011 and the company now works with hundreds of leading retailers and suppliers, including six of the UK's 20 largest online retailers.
As part of Rangespan's supplier platform, Norbert Dentressangle will be responsible for the processing and handling of all returned items at its shared-user facility in Telford. Following inspection of product, the company's unique BACTRAC system captures details of returned items and automatically identifies the correct disposition route based on a set of defined questions, dependent on the value and condition of the product. These are typically return-to-vendor, re-sale through the secondary market or, if this is not possible, scrappage in line with the appropriate legislation, e.g., WEEE.
Norbert Dentressangle's extensive experience in e-fulfilment and returns management operations and ability to scale up the solution in line with Rangespan's ambitious growth plans were important factors in its appointment.
