Edwards is highlighting the fast return on investment that their steel degassing vacuum systems can bring to the metallurgy industry, with no waste disposal and lower energy costs than steam ejectors.
Minerals, Metals, Metallurgy and Materials International Exhibition and Conference (known as MMMM), in New Delhi is a biennial exhibition for Indian professionals from the mineral, metals and materials market. Visitors to the Edwards’ stand will be able to discuss their application requirements with experts from the company.
Edwards’ dry mechanical vacuum pumping systems for steel degassing processes provide numerous benefits to steel producers, including environmental and economic, and supersede the use of traditional steam ejectors – dry mechanical pumps have been proven to reduce energy costs by as much as 90% compared to steam ejectors.
The modular system design concept ensures high uptime – a reliable and dependable performance is an important benefit given the exceptional demands that secondary metallurgy processes can make on vacuum equipment. High available pumping speeds, low ultimate vacuum, minimal planned maintenance and low environmental impact all lend further weight to the case for mechanical dry pumps.
“We are delighted to be at MMMM to demonstrate our solutions for the rapidly growing Indian steel industry, and trust that our dry mechanical systems with lower environmental impact and low running costs can benefit the Indian steel industry further. We provide a single source for vacuum requirements, from pump manufacturing, system design, testing to service”, said Vikrant Sanglikar, Country Head – South Asia for Edwards.
Edwards is an approved supplier to major Indian customers, and is able to offer local applications expertise, full installation, service and site commissioning support locally. As a newly acquired member of the Atlas Copco group Edwards is working to extend its support to customers across India.
