Time is running out for entries to The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
Cymru-Wales National Transport Awards 2011. Entries should be submitted by 31st March 2011.
The objective of the CILT Cymru-Wales Awards, to be held in Cardiff on 27th May 2011, is to celebrate best practice and highlight organisations that can make a difference. The judges are looking for a demonstration of sustainable development and new ideas that have made a real difference to supply chain practices in Wales.
So successful has the event proven in recent years that it is now moving to a larger venue, the Assembly Room, Cardiff City Hall, Cathays Park in Cardiff.
CILT Cymru-Wales invites submissions from individuals and logistics organisations large or small, operating in Wales, in any or all of the sectors shown below:
Ports / Maritime / Waterways
The award categories include
R T Wynn Medallion
Best Student Paper Logistics
Training / Development of People
Delivery of a Transport Scheme Showing Innovation/Excellence
Freight Planning and Distribution in Wales
Young Professional of the Year
Previous winners of awards have included Traveline Cymru, Carmarthenshire County Council, SWWITCH and Vale of Glamorgan County Council – some of whom have gone on to win at the UK Awards for Excellence in London.
Entries can be submitted for any or all of the categories. In the interests of sharing best practice, permission will be sought to publish the winning entries in the Institute’s journal Logistics & Transport Focus.
