ET Morris look to Krone for adaptable flatbed trailers "Flatbed one day- curtainsider the next"

ET Morris and Sons Ltd, the Boston & Hull based general haulage and storage operator, has taken delivery of 10 x flatbed trailers from Krone which, says the company, can be quickly and easily retrofitted with Krone curtainsider bodies.

Providing a diverse delivery service to the UK from both Ports, ET Morris chose the flatbed trailers not least because of their loading flexibility and ability to extend asset life and value through the addition of new curtainsider bodies if required.

The flatbeds themselves are lightweight but come with a 15 tonne kingpin/neck capacity and Krone’s Multi Lock side raves as standard.

ET Morris Director Jeremy Morris is upbeat about the new equipment:

"These platform trailers from Krone not only are a quality asset in their own right but also they are adaptable.

If in the future we see a change in requirements, all we need to do is bolt on a Krone body and the platforms become curtainsiders.

Furthermore, we benefit from the multi lock side rave, 10 yr anti- corrosion warranty, steel reinforced bulkhead, low tare weight and retrospective code XL.

It’s all about adapting to match customer needs and with this solution from Krone, we can change from a platform to a curtainsider virtually overnight."

With 45 modern tractors in the fleet, including Volvo FH12s and DAF 105-510’s, supported by a mixed trailer fleet of Skeletals, coil carriers and curtainsiders, ET Morris also provide return load services along the M62 corridor and east of the M1.

"We provide an east coast and UK service which has been built up over 50 years" concludes Jeremy Morris. "To maintain the high standards upon which our reputation is built, we need to rely on high quality trailers which will provide an optimum return on investment both for ET Morris and our customers in turn."
