EU imposes a new anti-dumping duty on all pallet trucks, manufactured in China

As per 22 April 2013, EU has imposed a new anti-dumping duty on all pallet trucks, imported from China to EU countries. The new duty amounts to 70,8%. This means that the price difference between a pallet trucks from China and pallet trucks from e.g. Denmark is now very small. The new anti-dumping duty is imposed on both painted as well as stainless pallet trucks!

To Logitrans A/S, Danish manufacturer of material handling equipment, the anti-dumping duty means that the additional price for a Logitrans Panther pallet truck compared to pallet trucks manufactured in China will now be very small. According to Mr Erling Pedersen, President at Logitrans A/S, this will open new opportunities for selling Danish quality pallet trucks!

"We want to stress that it is now not worthwhile to buy anything but our pallet truck – a pallet truck of good and strong Danish quality", says Erling Pedersen. "Considering all the advantages of our pallet truck, it is worthwhile to pay the very small additional price! Our Panther pallet truck manages 50,000 pump strokes, ensuring a considerably lower price during the operating life than a Chinese pallet truck".

The Panther pallet trucks have many unique advantages and many options available. They are specially designed for confined areas with a special handle, which ensures the user an ergonomically and relaxed grip. Together with the low own weight this makes the pallet trucks very manoeuvrable. The Panther pallet truck is available in a fully silent model, which is also gentle to the fine floor and flag stone layer and able to operate on uneven surfaces without problems!

The Logitrans Group has headquarter in Denmark, and has since the foundation in 1940 developed to be an international company with employees in France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, China and the USA – and dealers all over the world. The Logitrans Group has 110 employees, of these 65 employees in Denmark.
