European energy manager is Juli appointed at Juli Lifting

Juli Lifting Group, the world’s largest lifting equipment manufacturer and service provider has announced the appointment of a European Energy Manager to drive the continental arm of the Juli business forward in the Offshore sector.

Martin Dunbar was officially welcomed by the directors earlier this week and his first task will be supporting the senior management team in raising the profile of Juli Lifting in the marketplace, a task for which Martin’s industry experience is already proving invaluable.

Martin’s name has become a byword in Aberdeen’s oil and gas industry, where he has spent the last 16 years working on the ‘other side of the fence’ as Operations Manager for Cosalt before becoming Business Development Manager for lifting with Enermech, so he has inside experience of what companies are looking for from a lifting equipment supplier. His appointment reflects the growth of Juli Lifting’s services over recent years and re-affirms the company’s long term commitment to the European oil and gas sector.

"Everyone at Juli Lifting Europe is determined to see the company enjoy greater success so it was important to get the appointment of our European Energy Manager right," said Juli Lifting’s Patrick Doyle. "I knew the sort of person we needed and I’m delighted to have secured Martin’s services. He has seen first hand the issues many companies have with the supply chain and this makes him perfect for the role. Martin’s know-how will ensure we give clients the service they need and his considerable experience and fresh ideas will further enhance our future strategic expansion plans."

Juli Lifting Europe’s new European headquarters has now opened Dublin, but Martin will be operating from Aberdeen so he can remain close to his contacts in the Oil and Gas industry in the region and provide on the ground customer service support and supply locally – something competitors are currently unable to match.

"Patrick Doyle and I go back many years, so when he approached me about Juli Lifting Europe’s exciting new venture, the offer was just too good to refuse. I had left my last job and was pondering a new direction but Juli’s plans for Europe make it a tremendously exciting time to be joining the company."

China’s Juli Lifting and Juli Sling has become world renowned as a highly skilled, capable and professional lifting manufacturer, thanks to massive investment in R&D, technical talent, and a commitment to quality and accreditation. Europe is now set to benefit from this investment and expertise and Martin has already hit the ground running, introducing Juli at the latest trade shows.

"It really is all systems go at the moment," added Martin. "Offshore Europe was a huge success and we have already met with several companies who have an immediate need for our products and services. The big advantage we have is having local stocks available now and with a presence in Europe we can respond fast – which gives us a real competitive advantage. We have the ability to react to the demands of the markets we are in and this really does set us apart."

With Juli now established in Dublin, European clients do not have to wait for standard off the shelf components – they will be available in just 1-5 days. European customers will benefit from the best of both worlds – being able to take advantage of the scale, resources, technical and manufacturing capabilities of Juli Lifting global, whilst also being able to deal direct with local experienced professionals like Martin and a distributor network at European territory level.

Juli has achieved ISO9001 international quality system certification, as well as the Chinese state laboratory certification CNAS, GS certification, CE certification, CCS certification, LR certification, DNV Certification, KR certification, GL certification, safety standard certification of coal, mining safety standard certification , ISO14001 environmental management system certification, and the GB/T28001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification, among others. It is also a qualified and approved manufacturer and integrator of naval weapons and equipment.
