Hiab Moffett Truck-mounted forklifts are renowned as specialist within the poultry industry. The M9 with low overall height, designed for operation in poultry houses is used by producers worldwide, who are striving to meet the ever increasing demand for a healthy diet at an affordable price.
The latest model for handling live poultry in the yard will be launched by Cargotec UK Limited at the Pig & Poultry Show at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, UK (May 15-16, 2012).
The LR30.3 has been designed to reduce product/module damage during the loading/unloading process and delivers a long duty cycle, whatever the working conditions. With a lift capacity of 3000kg and unrivalled durability, it eliminates manual handling and streamlines the operating efficiency, whilst significantly reducing product damage.
Cargotec has successfully addressed the specific requirements of the poultry industry over many years. Already a success in the USA, the LR30.3 has been developed in conjunction with leading producers all around the world and is available with a range of options to match specific application requirements.
The LR30.3 features a strong 60hp Kubota engine, high capacity hydraulic oil cooler and heavy duty mast with adjustable wear pads, pivot forks and option of rotator. The advanced RKM hydraulic filter system and air filter pre-cleaner guarantee reliability and high performance during long working hours.
The Hiab Moffet yard forklift has been designed for maximum visibility and optimised operator interface with all round view and adjustable steering, featuring an ergonomically designed driver cabin that is fully suspended on hydraulic mounts for enhanced operator comfort. The fully enclosed operator compartment with cab heater and recirculation fan can easily be converted into an open driver compartment during the summer months.
"With a lifting height of 3.3 m, the LR30.3 is the specialist forklift for optimising live haul and live receiving operations," says Keith Quigley, Vice President Truck-mounted forklift Product Business, Cargotec. "Our first yard forklift is the result of extensive research and development and represents our commitment to providing leading load handling concepts, designed for real businesses," Keith concludes.
