Euroway celebrates its 21st truck this year with Solstor

The recent arrival of 15 new tractor units, into the Solstor UK Ltd fleet, takes the number of trucks supplied to Solstor by leading commercial vehicle company Euroway to 21 in this year alone.

At the start of the year, Euroway supplied six tractor units to Solstor and the success of these trucks has led Solstor to ordering an additional 15 new MAN TGX 400 6×2 tractor units from Euroway to work on an existing distribution contract for a leading retailer.

Explaining the decision to use Euroway for the supply of these new vehicles, Andy Hitchings, UK Business Director at Solstor, said, "Following the initial six vehicle order, we have been extremely pleased with the quality of customer service provided by Euroway for these vehicles. When we needed to source the next batch of tractor units in our fleet, it made sense for us to build on this already successful relationship and Euroway was selected to supply the full order."

All the new trucks are to be based out of the Solstor distribution hub at Yaxley, near Peterborough, with each tractor unit anticipated to cover in excess of 190,000 km per annum. Euroway has supplied the vehicles on a four-year contract hire deal that includes company’s popular FleetSure fleet maintenance package.

Solstor operates a 100% refrigerated, integrated UK and European fleet that includes 300 tractor units and temperature controlled trailers. The first 10 tractor units of the 15 strong order are already in service, with the rest following on shortly.

"As a new supplier of tractor units to Solstor, first impressions are extremely important. We have been able to demonstrate the strengths of the Euroway operation to Solstor in a short period of time and our commitment to the highest level of customer service has been rewarded by this follow-up tractor unit deal. We look forward to continuing and developing this business partnership with Solstor in the long-term," said Geoff Howard from Euroway Ltd.
