As part of Euroway's strategic plan for growing and developing its portfolio of products and services to the transport industry, the Group has announced a stronger focus on its core Commercial activities as well as appointing industry specialist Mark Barton as the new Managing Director of its van and truck rental business; Magnum Self Drive.
In his role at Magnum, Mark Barton takes over the reigns of the Essex rental company from Mark Howell, who previously had the joint responsibilities of both managing Magnum Self Drive, whilst also fulfilling the position of Commercial Director for the entire Euroway Group.
Now strategically focussing solely on his Commercial role as Group Commercial Director within Euroway, Mark Howell is able to build upon the success he has already achieved within his first 2 years at the company, by developing further and new commercial opportunities for all aspects of the Euroway Group business.
At Magnum Self Drive, Mark Barton is in charge of a rental fleet approaching 300 dry freight and temperature-controlled vehicles. It is now firmly established as one of the country's leading regional rental companies, with its head office in Thurrock, and operating satellite depots at Corby, High Wycombe and Leighton Buzzard.
As newly appointed Managing Director Mark Barton says, "Mark Howell has steered Magnum through very challenging industry times, ensuring the company has a strong and solid foundation for me to build upon."

Prior to joining Magnum Self Drive, Mark Barton was with BRS for over 11 years in a number of positions, latterly as National Sales Director. Before BRS, Mark began his career in vehicle hire as Operations and Commercial Director at MC Truck Rental.
