Local Authority Day supported by LARAC, Plastics Recycling Expo – 18 June 2014, Telford International Centre
How achievable are the 2017 targets for plastics recycling and how can local councils improve collection of plastics? What consumer communications are most effective? What is the true cost of not recycling plastics? What role can recycled plastics play in the circular economy? These questions and many more will be addressed at the Local Authority Day supported by LARAC, taking place at the inaugural Plastics Recycling Expo in Telford on 18 June.
Aimed at local government recycling officers and all those who work with them to provide recycling services, the free-to-attend Local Authority Day will take place at the newly upgraded Telford International Centre. The programme includes a special address from Barry Gardiner MP, Shadow Minister for the Natural Environment & Fisheries as well as an update from the Waste and Resource Action Programme (WRAP) on the Plastic Industry Recycling Action Plan.
