Exact Logistics declared Family Business of the Year

Exact Logistics has been named ‘Holiday Inn Coventry Family Business of the Year’, following a three month search to find the most deserving local business.

Owned and managed by husband and wife team Adam and Karen Shuter, Exact Logistics is a member of the Palletways Group, Europe’s fastest and largest delivery network for palletised freight.

The Rugby-based company has a loyal customer base in Rugby as well as Coventry, Kenilworth, Kineton, Leamington Spa, Shipston on Stour, Southam, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick.

The Holiday Inn Family Business of the Year Awards were launched in September 2011 as a way of recognising and rewarding hard working, local family businesses. The awards were judged on innovation and providing a strong contribution to the local community, despite the tough economic climate. As its prize, Exact Logistics receives a year’s meeting space at Holiday Inn Coventry M6 Jct 2.

Karen Shuter, co-owner of Exact Logistics, said: "We are over the moon to have won the Holiday Inn Coventry Family Business of the Year Award and it’s great that family run businesses can gain recognition this way."

Mark O’Connor, General Manager of Holiday Inn Coventry M6 Jct 2, said: "We took into consideration Exact Logistics’ strong links within the community and fresh thinking within the sector, which really made them stand out from the other entries. Exact Logistics is a well-deserved winner and we hope they enjoy their use of our meetings space."

The Palletways Group is made up of a total of 300 depots and ten hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 11 European countries, including the UK. The company’s network is made up of independent transport companies who share resources to deliver small consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively.
