Minister for Transport, Keith Brown MSP, will be speaking at the forthcoming Freight Transport Association (FTA) conference for transport managers which takes place on Wednesday 29 October in Dunblane.
Delegates will also hear from the Traffic Commissioner for Scotland, Joan Aitken, on the latest compliance developments and the TCs’ future priorities and from Gordon MacDonald and Gordon Thompson of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) on the enforcer’s view of traffic regulations in Scotland.
Margaret Simpson, FTA Country Manager for Scotland said:
“This is a great opportunity for our Scottish members to hear from and speak to some of the key stakeholders within the Scottish freight transport and logistics industry. I am interested to hear their views and understanding of the implications of the recent referendum result in particular, and whether the Transport Minster or Traffic Commissioner believe that there will be any impacts on the Scottish logistics sector.
“FTA is looking forward to what promises to be a very informative and engaging conference for its members and we hope to catch up with many of them personally on the day.”
