Express delivery service Palletforce rally team selected for national motor sport squad

A RALLY driver - sponsored by Palletforce - has been selected for an elite national motor sport squad.

Rally Team Scotland driver John MacCrone was chosen, alongside his team-mate Stuart Loudon, by the Motor Sports Association to be part of the six-man Team UK.

Team UK is a driver development scheme for the country's most promising young drivers and represents the pinnacle of the MSA's training structure that has been created to guide young drivers to world championship level.

Dave Holland, Palletforce's Sales and Marketing Director, said: "John's selection for the national squad shows that Palletforce's commitment to 'work with the best' applies to every strand of our business, not just our members.

"We are proud to support such a world-class driver and delighted to align ourselves with a future champion.

"John's selection is well-deserved and he can count on our continued support for the British Rally Championship 2011."

As a member of Team UK John will benefit from coaching by three-times British Rally Champion Mark Higgins and visits to teams from Formula 1 and the World Rally Championships.

He will also be given access to some of the most sophisticated simulation equipment in the world.

John said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for me and the selection has come at a very important time.

"The support of Team UK and Mark Higgins will really help me focus on making a positive change and improving my performance.

"It's great that Stuart is involved as well as it will be important for us to work and learn together and to have that level of mutual commitment."
