Fassi Gru presents the new F395A xe-dynamic at the Bern Transport-CH Fair

Fassi Gru is present with its Swiss distributor Fassi Schweiz AG at Transport-CH, being held in the BernExpo centre from 16th to 19th November 2017. The new Fassi F395A xe-dynamic Fassi crane is being presented at the fair.

Transport-CH, now in its 9th edition, is the leading Swiss transport and lifting trade fair. Many Swiss transport and lifting companies have travelled to Bern, the capital of Switzerland and the Canton of Bern, to learn about the latest developments in amongst the stands of Bern Expo, which is being held from 16th to 19th November. Among these, a prominent place is occupied by the debut of the new Fassi F395A xe-dynamic, which is on display at the 180 m² stand (hall 3.0, stand D014), set up for the occasion by Fassi Schweiz AG, Fassi Gru’s Swiss distributor since 1973.

This time, Transport-CH features more than 100 exhibitors and, among the latest innovations of this edition, there is an area where you can try out some of the vehicles on display. A special space, organized in collaboration with Swisse Automotive Aftermarket (ASA), is also dedicated to aftermarket activities.

The new Fassi F395A xe-dynamic crane and the F395RA xe-dynamic models widen and complete Fassi Gru’s mid-range of cranes, coming in at the top of the range. These new cranes are available with rack and pinion (F395A) or fifth wheel (F395RA) rotation: the first is more wieldy, the second allows a complete 360° rotation. These new models come with the tried-and-tested FX 500 control system, the D850 hydraulic distributor, the Fassi RCH/RCS radio remote control and FSC-S or FSC-H stability control.

On the Fassi F395A xe-dynamic, the rack has self-centring cast iron guide pads that guarantee a correct and constant coupling between the pinion and the rack itself, which avoids wearing down the teeth. The base and lower part of the column are made of cast steel for ideal stress distribution and superior strength; the absence of welding giving the crane a longer fatigue life. This crane will be available in different versions with a maximum of up to eight hydraulic extensions in the basic configuration and in two versions with a short secondary boom. To further increase the work area, various combinations with jibs are available to satisfy every need.

The Fassi F395RA xe-dynamic has continuous rotation on a double-circulation fifth wheel bearing with motor reducer, a base with slots for fixing with tie-rods or for an integrated counter frame that allows the installation height to be contained.

On both models, the guide pads of the boom sections are “force” mounted to reduce vertical and lateral clearance for longer durability; hydraulically extendable outriggers are also available in the XL version, as well as a “C” version with a shorter secondary arm for an increased under-hook lifting height. Also for this model, there are versions available with a maximum of up to eight hydraulic extensions in the basic configuration, two versions with a short secondary arm and various combinations with jib.

The sector that will benefit most from the capabilities of the new crane will almost certainly be that of construction, in which better performances, as well as compact and lightweight solutions, are always highly sought-after.
