Finning Materials Handling has added to its extensive Caterpillar® warehouse range by introducing a brand new medium level order picker, three stand-on stackers and three pedestrian stackers, giving its customers even more options and choice.
All new models have been specifically designed for extremely agile operation in narrow aisles and an operating flexibility that makes them ideal for smaller warehouses.
The new model Cat NOM10K is a compact, 24-volt medium level order picker designed for use in very narrow aisles (VNA) up to 6500mm, with a capacity of 1000kg. The intelligent layout of the operator's compartment gives unobstructed visibility and access to the picking pallet by combining split controls with a thin cabin front. Supplementary lift lets the operator raise the pallet or cage as required, to ensure it's always at a convenient height for picking.
High lifting and lowering speeds of the NOM10K guarantee high productivity. This, combined with the short power head design and 3600 steering, allows the operator to make very tight, precise turns with ease. The driver motor and programmable controller with built in diagnostics also allow truck performance to be adjusted to every application, ensuring working efficiency and driver comfort.
The three new Cat NSR-K stand-on stackers combine excellent reach (up to 6.5m) with fast lifting speeds and horizontal travel speeds to maximise shift productivity. The operator compartment remains very comfortable, despite the compact width of the truck, with fly-by-wire steering and all round visibility. In addition, the tapered forks provide smooth and quick access into the pallets. The NSR-K stackers can be programmed to its exact operating requirements, giving it a longer working life and putting minimal strain on working parts.
The new range of Cat NSP-N pedestrian stackers optimise high-lift, short run warehouse operations in manufacturing, retail or distribution environments, combining powerful and highly economic AC drive motors. The three stackers – with variants – offer a wide variety of masts and capacities for loads between 1.0 and 1.6 tons and heights from 5.4m up to 30m.
An ergonomically designed tiller arm groups all the key controls within easy fingertip reach for both right and left handed drivers. A small turning radius and 200o steering angle makes the new pedestrian stackers ideal trucks for close-action stacking inside road vehicles.
Sue Myatt, marketing communications manager for Finning Materials Handling, said: “In an increasingly competitive working environment, return on investment is a key issue.
