As it continues to strengthen its presence in Europe, FKI Logistex® – leading global provider of automated handling systems – has announced further moves to reinforce and expand its corporate and management structure. These include the creation of a Pan-European Regional Office and Customer Service and Support Division. This new business unit encompasses all FKI Logistex Regional Sales Offices and associated Customer Service and Support (CSS) activities.
Ian Pugh has been appointed to head up this important operation and becomes Director, European Regional Development. Ian has worked for FKI Logistex for many years and was previously the company's Project Director. In his new position, he is responsible for driving forward the major expansion planned for the company's network of European Regional Sales Offices. As part of this role, Ian will also help maintain and develop strategic relationships with key European customers.
Ian is now working closely with Finn Laugesen, who has recently taken up a new role as Head of European Customer Service and Support. In this newly created position, Finn is responsible for all CSS across Europe. As in the past, he will also continue to oversee CSS activities for FKI Logistex in the Middle East, South Africa and the Far East.
Eamonn Treanor, recently appointed Head of CSS covering the company's European-installed base of warehouse and distribution facilities, now reports to Finn.
Jerry Woodhouse, Managing Director, European Operations, FKI Logistex, comments: “These latest corporate and managerial changes form part of an ongoing strategic plan, which is designed to align and integrate our growing European sales and support operations. In particular, these latest moves increase the focus on our extensive CSS activities. Comprising some 550 skilled and dedicated personnel, these after-market services are key to maintaining and growing the company's presence across its rapidly expanding European markets.”
