Fleet investment for Palletforce member Garrett Transport

Palletforce member Garrett Transport has upgraded their fleet as they continue a programme of modernisation.

The family-run company which joined Palletforce, the UK’s leading palletised distribution network five years ago, has added two new MAN Artics to their fleet to replace older vehicles.

"Our fleet represents our company every day to the thousands of people who see our vehicles out on the roads, so it is important that they reflect well and demonstrate our commitment to quality," said Andrew Garrett, Director at Garrett Transport.

The general haulage and warehousing firm is based in Saffron Walden, Essex, and recently launched a new reusable pallet wrapping product via its sister company Palletsock.

One of the new Artic lorries has been branded in Palletsock colours, the product aims to reduce the waste being sent to landfill, as currently pallets of goods are shrink wrapped, which is used once and thrown away. Palletsock also protects pallets from damage caused during transportation.

Earlier this year Palletsock won the innovation category at the Hertfordshire Green Awards and were recently runners up to ‘The Fairtrade Organisation’ in the National Green Monday Idea Idol Awards.

"It is great to see yet another Palletforce member showing commitment to investing in quality equipment like Palletsock and running a well maintained and attractive fleet," said Dave Holland, Sales and Marketing Director at Palletforce.

"Our members take pride in providing a high standard of service and are always seeking new ways to meet and surpass their customers’ expectations."
