The Fork Lift Truck Association FLTA is celebrating following news that its Chief Executive, Peter Harvey MBE, has been included in the prestigious Logistics 100 listing.
The Logistics 100, which is decided by a panel of industry experts, is the list of the UK logistics industry’s one hundred most influential individuals.
During selection, judges look at a number of factors, such as: operational strength; driving industry change; demonstrating visionary ideas and positively influencing others.
A sought-after speaker at safety conferences and seminars, Peter Harvey became CEO of the Fork Lift Truck Association, in 2012. Foremost of his achievements has been the impact achieved by the FLTA in the area of safety.
On his watch, the size, scope and status of the National Fork Truck Safety Conference has grown exponentially – being named “Conference of the Year” in the 2015 Best Practice Awards.
Likewise, Safetember, the Association’s annual safety month campaign, continues to achieve year-on-year growth – with many thousands of operators, supervisors and managers demonstrating their steadfast support.
“We are very pleased to see our efforts recognised,” says Peter Harvey. “Together with our Members – Europe’s largest representative body of dealers, suppliers, manufacturers and end users of lift trucks and associated equipment – we have a vision of how our industry could always be that bit better... and are striving to achieve it.
“As well as ensuring FLTA members are equipped with up-to-date information on legislation and all the requisite resources to support their customers, we have forged a series of partners to share best practice: enabling them to work smarter and more profitably.”
