Fork Lift Truck Association announce Hitachi Capital joins Award sponsors

Good news keeps coming for Association's "Archies"

The Fork Lift Truck Association has announced further good news about its Awards for Excellence 2011, with the confirmation of Hitachi Capital Business Finance as a full Award Sponsor.

Excitement is already building ahead of February's presentation dinner, with online voting now underway between a record-breaking number of finalists in the Awards' main product categories.

The revelation that Hitachi Capital has signed up to sponsor the coveted Awards, fondly known in the industry as the "Archies", comes just weeks after the Association secured BBC Radio 2's Sally "Traffic" Boazman as guest presenter.

FLTA chairman Martyn Fletcher says: "With new sponsors, a famous guest presenter and more finalists in contention than ever before, there seems to be a real 'buzz' developing about this year's Awards. We're sure it'll be a wonderful night.

"We are, of course, thrilled to have Hitachi Capital on board. It's further endorsement for the Awards, and the value of sponsorship to underline a company's support for our industry as a whole.

"Who knows? Perhaps there will be even more exciting news before the Awards ceremony begins."

Marie Dunkley of Hitachi Capital Business Finance agrees: "At Hitachi, we're fiercely committed to the materials handling sector, so sponsoring an 'Archie' feels like a very natural thing to do.

"I know the Awards well: it's always a fabulous event, and does a great deal to reward the very best in the fork lift truck industry. We're delighted to be involved."

FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence will be presented on Saturday 12th February 2011 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel. Information on sponsorship and booking tickets can be obtained at the FLTA website: www.fork-truck.org.uk or by calling 01256 381441.
