Forklift manufacturer Hyster showcased its IMT TH3536 tyre handling attachment at Reifen 2010

A new Hyster H25.00XM-12 forklift truck fitted with an IMT TH3536 tyre handling attachment will be showcased on the Elite Truck Bodies stand at Reifen 2010 in Essen, Germany, demonstrating the most efficient way of handling and changing large tyres on vehicles operating in open-cast mining and construction applications.

Reifen 2010 exhibition in Essen, Germany, 1-4 June, is the international trade fair for the tyre industry. For businesses whose applications involve the handling and replacement of large vehicle tyres in open-cast mining and construction industries, Elite Truck Bodies (stand 1.0-211) will display the new Hyster H25.00XM-12 forklift fitted with the IMT TH3536 tyre handling attachment handling a 2.69m diameter tyre.

The IMT TH3536 tyre handler range can lift and rotate (390°) tyres weighing up to 11,340 kg (25,000 lb) and includes lateral shifting capability. When combined with the recently launched Hyster H25-32XM range of heavy duty lift trucks (25-32 tonne lift capacity), it provides unbeatable performance and efficiency for changing and handling large tyres. The IMT TH3536 attachment on the Hyster H25.00XM-12 on display can change tyres with rims between 18.00-25 to 57.5 / 85 x 57 with a weight of 11,000 kg at a 2100mm load centre.

"The new Hyster H25-32XM range is designed to offer a unique blend of high productivity, reliable proven components, fuel efficiency and outstanding driver comfort" explains Antoon Cooijmans, Big Trucks Product Manager for Hyster Europe. "They are versatile with excellent visibility and low operating costs".

The Hyster H25-32XM forklift series include the ‘dual-function’ carriage with a ‘quick-disconnect’ for the forks to enable a quick exchange between forks and the IMT TH3536 attachment. Also featured are load-sensing hydraulics that only provide maximum power when it is really needed, consuming less fuel with savings of 5% to 15%.

Hyster has a long history of providing a complete range of big trucks and container handling equipment for ports, terminals and heavy duty, industrial applications throughout the world, dating back to the 1950s. Today, Hyster’s full range of ReachStackers, container handlers and high capacity forklifts lead the market with innovative and intelligent design.
