Fraikin, the UK arm of Europe's largest commercial vehicle fleet services company, is proud to welcome two new members to its rapidly growing team.
Tony Ware has been appointed as Major Account Manager, a newly created role that entails him overseeing the commercial and relationship aspects of new and existing accounts. He will be supported by the existing team of local account managers.
Tony brings a vast amount of experience in both the rental and logistics sector, having worked as a sales director at Newton Vehicle Rentals and Hitachi, as well as Ryder Logistics and City Truck Group, where he was commercial director.
The role requires a new way of thinking that combines experience in both vehicle hire and a track record in delivering innovative solutions, so Tony was the perfect choice.
He said: "Fraikin is incredibly forward-thinking in the industry and I'm pleased to be on board.
"The company approaches the sector in an integrated way, providing fleet management, contract hire and rental solutions which is what provides us with our competitive edge.
"The contract hire industry has become too focused on assets, when procuring a vehicle is just a small part of what we do. By offering the complete package, our customers feel comfortable outsourcing to Fraikin and this why as a business we have continued to go from strength to strength.
The second appointment is Shane Saliba, who has taken the reins as General Manager of the Central Midlands, based at Fraikin's new flagship 15,000 sq ft branch in Oak Tree Road, Coventry.
Shane is a specialist in the refrigerated vehicles and food sector and has previously worked at Petit Forestier, a refrigerated vehicle rental provider, and also Dairy Crest in Nuneaton.
He said: "The challenge of this role is integrating our customer base from the three smaller sites that merged to form the flagship facility, but I am already enjoying sharing best practice with staff and liaising closely with our customers to provide the best possible service."
The addition of Tony and Shane closely follows the recent appointment of a new management team to focus Fraikin's expansion.
Peter Backhouse, Fraikin's Chief Executive Officer, says the roles are vital if the company is to meet its bold growth ambitions.
He added: "Tony and Shane are a big step forward for us and an important addition to our operation. Fraikin is committed to finding the best talent in the sector and these two latest appointments reflect that dedication."
