The Freight Transport Association's stand at this year's Commercial Vehicle Show will feature an interactive zone demonstrating the association's management information services, as well as briefings on Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) changes and managing transport during the Olympic Games. Information will also be available on the award winning Van Excellence scheme, Driver CPC training and the Logistics Carbon Reduction Scheme.
Visitors can also find out about FTA membership, tachograph analysis, vehicle inspection services, training and consultancy plus Shopfta, the one-stop shop for transport office supplies.
Pippa Attwood, FTA's Director of Membership, Marketing & Communications, said:
"We are looking forward to a highly successful CV Show and as ever, there is so much we have to talk about. The briefings are always extremely popular, with key topics this April being the changes to OCRS and the Olympics, and another key subject we will be helping operators with is management information - in particular on drivers' hours, working time and vehicle maintenance.
"Key events like the Olympics, which will involve logistics heavily, will make 2012 an important year for our industry, which always does such a fabulous job behind the scenes. We would like everyone to know how great logistics is so we will also be giving away our Love Logistics Toolkits with videos, games, statistics, presentations and much more for everyone to use. Just visit us on our stand for your copy."
FTA will be working for the third year running with member company Diamond Exhibitions on the design and construction of the FTA stand.
Brian Parsons, Managing Director of Diamond Exhibitions said:
"We are delighted to be working with FTA again for the third year running. It is also really good that FTA recognises our membership as a key point in tendering for the business. We are a family run operation with 25 years' experience in delivering exhibitions and go all over the UK and further, so transport is really important to us."
