Free seminars and new logistics and warehousing efficiencies at Logistics Link South 2010

Logistics Link South 2010 promises to be one of the year’s most time-efficient ways for logistics managers to see the latest in productive, cost effective and energy-saving systems and technologies. The first big industry event in a challenging year, Logistics Link South takes place on the 2nd and 3rd of February at Sandown Park, Esher.

In less than half a day visitors can learn more than they could in months of research about ways to survive the economic gloom and emerge stronger and fitter. As well as exhibitors presenting hundreds of different products, systems and services for the logistics sector, the show will feature an extensive programme of free seminars from eight leading suppliers across both days.

Following the best-attended seminar at Logistics Link North, Belgravium and Inotec will again review the impact RFID and 2D visual codes are making on the logistics industry.

Using a customer case study, VSc Solutions will demonstrate how ePOD from VSc manages the whole delivery and collection process, which enables distribution businesses to react more quickly and intelligently to customer queries and better manage delivery expectations.

ASG Services will focus on solutions that protect personnel within the warehouse environment from the impact of product and MHE. Best practice recommendations will be highlighted for protective products and systems that can be used and optimised with minimal effect on productivity.

Inform will present case studies demonstrating improved efficiencies and performance with advanced planning software as a bolt-on to existing ERP systems.

Other companies presenting free seminars include:

OBS Logistics – Enterprise Supply Chain solutions
Psion Teklogix – Handheld computer products and technology
Zetes – Automatic Identification of goods and people.

Following the recent Logistics Link North in Doncaster, which had the highest attendance in its five-year history, demand for tickets for Logistics Link South is expected to be high. For more information and to register free, go to www.logisticslink.co.uk.
