Freight Transport Association Class 1 Driver of the Year award to City Link driver

A Norwich man who works for City Link, a leading premium express delivery Company is celebrating after scooping a prestigious award.

Graham Jones, aged 43, who lives in the West Earlham area of the city, was named City Link's Class 1 Driver of the Year by the Freight Transport Association (FTA).

The award follows close monitoring of City Link's 300-plus Class 1 drivers by FTA judges.

Graham, a father-of-two who has worked for City Link for four years, was presented with the award for his consistent hard work and dedication to the Company.

During his time with the Company Graham's tachograph showed no infringements and he has not had a day off sick.

Graham said: "I was surprised when I was told I had won the award but I feel very proud to have won it over 300 other Class 1 drivers. I was not expecting to be presented with an award so to receive such an acknowledgement is a bonus."

Stuart Godman, City Link's Managing Director, said: "Our congratulations to Graham on winning this award.

"With his consistent hard work and dedication he has proven to be a real asset to the Company over the last four years and we are pleased that he has won this award."

City Link, which is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary, employs nearly 6,000 people throughout the UK operating 3,000 vehicles from a network of over 85 Depots handling approximately 350,000 parcels daily.
