FTA at Multimodal 2012, The voice of the national, European and global supply chain

The Freight Transport Association's presence at Multimodal 2012 will reflect and explain its role as the organisation representing the interests of national, European and global transport users. FTA has a long history of representing every aspect of the supply chain operation, with a range of services and facilities benefitting all freight transport operations by every mode - road, rail, sea and air.

The FTA stand will include information on the Logistics Buyer Information Service, the new seminars for logistics buyers and shippers run in conjunction with legal experts, the European Shippers' Guide and the work of the Global Shippers' Forum. Visitors can also find out about FTA's Container Shipping Contract Service, which provides a comprehensive subscription package for shippers, and the association's research work, in conjunction with Heriot-Watt University, on decarbonising of the maritime supply chain, and the Logistics Carbon Reduction conference which takes place at the end of May.

Information will also be available on Freight by Water; the Mode Shift Centre, which was launched by FTA earlier this year highlighting the alternatives to road transport provided by rail and water; and FastTrack, an FTA service which provides speedy and practical advice on rail freight opportunities. FTA has recently produced two new publications, On track! and On board!, designed to describe and promote the freight and logistics opportunities available by rail and water, and copies of both publications will be available on the stand.

Multimodal 2012 takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 1-3 May. Delegates can find FTA on stand 679.
