FTA fleet engineer seminar 2008

The 2008 Fleet Engineer Seminar from the Freight Transport Association will cover forthcoming legislation changes which will affect the specification, maintenance and testing regime of a commercial vehicle fleet. It will also provide an update on the latest information and experience on biofuels, fuel efficiency technology and road safety.

The event will be held on 2 October at the Park Royal Hotel, Warrington and will be repeated on 3 December at the Thistle Hotel, Heathrow.

The programme will include speakers from the FTA and from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA), together with leading industry experts.

Operational considerations when using biofuels

Vehicle testing developments

New Whole Vehicle Type Approval

On-board diagnostics

Vehicle maintenance

Pedestrian and cycle protection in urban areas

Forthcoming engineering legislation

The events will be chaired by Tim Blakemore, Editor, Transport Engineer.

Registration for FTA members is £309 plus VAT for the first delegate and £260 plus VAT for subsequent delegates. For non-members the event costs £370 plus VAT for the first delegate and £330 plus VAT for subsequent delegates.
