Car manufacturer General Motors (GM) has given its logistics service provider DSV a prize. GM praised the outstanding performance and exemplary cooperation with a "Supplier of the Year Award 2010".
DSV was one of 82 suppliers and service providers to whom General Motors awarded prizes as their best suppliers at a celebration in the GM Renaissance Center in Detroit. The prizewinners only include a handful of European companies.
"It’s a great honour and distinction to receive this award. We are delighted about the value they place on our work," says Jens Bjørn Andersen, CEO DSV A/S, Brøndby (Denmark), and added: "The prize is the reward for supporting one of the world’s very biggest companies with high-quality and competitive products."
Reliable engine for production.
DSV Air & Sea transports parts for General Motors from Europe, Africa, and the Near East to the production locations and spare parts centers in Europe (Germany, Austria, UK, Hungary) as well as locations in North America, Asia, and Australia. The range of services includes order management, supplier management, and the physical delivery process. DSV uses its own land-based travel network, sea freight, air freight, and package shipment as well as charter flights and on-board couriers.
