In response to strong market demand for Genie® Personnel and Material Lifts and backing its direct sales operations in the UK, Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) has announced that Authorised Genie Distributors Workplatform Ltd. and Access Platform Sales (APS) -– have supplemented their comprehensive Genie aerial work platform offering this year with a larger, readily available and competitively priced source of the brand’s most popular AWP™, Super Hoist™ and Super Lift™ material and personal lift models. Workplatform Ltd. covers the Midlands, North and South West England and Wales, and APS covers Cambridgeshire, Lancashire, South East England and Scotland.
First produced in 1966 and introduced to the UK in the mid 1980’s, these distinctive blue Genie Material and Personnel Lifts first gained popularity for construction and building maintenance in a variety of applications, quickly setting the standard for performance and durability. Examples range from multi-story construction, low floor load applications, narrow aisle, power room, security and electrical tasks, to name a few. However, since HSE Working at Height Regulations came into effect in the UK 10 years ago, demand from primary end-users, including electricians, pipe fitters and joiners, HVAS contractors, maintenance, cleaning, decorating, store handling personnel and fire and safety engineers, has continued to grow.
