Globus will be showcasing several high-performance gloves on Stand F13 at Screwfix Live, in Farnborough, from 25 to 27 September 2015. These gloves are well suited for builders, heating engineers, contractors, roofers and those involved in groundworks. One specific grip glove, the Showa 306, is both water repellent and breathable, making it ideal to be worn for manual handling in either wet or dry conditions.
Recent technological advancements in fabrics and coating science have resulted in a range of gloves designed specifically for construction trades. These are form fitting and have a seamless liner and durable protective coating. By wearing the right gloves, hands can be well protected from many hazards including cuts, puncture injuries, impacts, chemical burns, temperature extremes and liquid contaminants. Some gloves provide exceptional breathability for reduced perspiration in hot working conditions.
The multi-functional gloves on display are part of the Showa and Skytec ranges. These are being offered for sale on the Globus stand, at special event promotional prices. As well as protecting the worker, the gloves offer excellent grip performance to prevent tools and materials slipping through the hands and causing injury. One pair of gloves on display, the Skytec Argon is still fully functional in cold weather, performing well at temperatures down to -50°C.
