GRAMAC name is the first choice

Responding to customer and market pressures, the Amber Industries Group has not only changed the name of their specialist belt bend division to emphasise the renowned brand name, they have also launched the new Mark 2 Series to provide a competitively positioned product that fully complies with the latest BAA standards and footprint specifications.

Now to be known as GRAMAC Quartz Ltd., the company will continue to manufacture and supply the original Gramac Mark 1 Series and service the many thousands of powered belt bends which continue to successfully operate trouble-free in airport baggage handling systems throughout the world and in various industry sectors

GRAMAC Quartz Ltd. researched the needs of the handling industry and system integrators before committing to a major investment program to develop the GRAMAC Mark 2 Series and undertake the challenging project of value engineering the well established GRAMAC Mark 1 Series. As a primary tenet of 'value engineering', it was important that the quality of the product was not compromised as a consequence of pursuing value improvements, nor the reliability and long life service for which GRAMAC powered belt bends are acknowledged.

Managing Director Nick Redfearn reported, “We consulted very closely with our industry colleagues before starting to re-engineer the GRAMAC powered belt bends, which have provided customers valuable trouble free service for many years. The GRAMAC Mark 2 Series was designed to support easy integration into systems and with a larger radius to specifically meet the BAA footprint in their airport baggage handling systems.

We also have a commitment to our many existing customers who operate GRAMAC Mark 1 Series powered belt bends and require service support and replacement powered belt bends to integrate into existing systems.

Therefore, although re-engineered to incorporate developments in engineering technology and advanced materials, the Mark 1 will continue to integrate with previous GRAMAC products, whilst enabling us to maintain a competitive edge without compromise to quality.”

Full technical specification details of new GRAMAC powered belt bend are available on request.
