HAE hiring the future

The hire industry is proving a leader when it comes to supporting apprentices. Despite a tough economy, HAE has launched a new programme for apprentices to take up training opportunities with member companies.

Working in co-operation with the CITB- Construction Skills National Specialist Team, Jobsite Plus and member businesses, HAE has employed eleven current apprentices to learn about hire through a series of hands-on work placements and bespoke online training.

Graham Arundell, HAE Managing Director, commenting on the recruitment of the new HAE apprentices and the HAE Shared Apprentice Scheme said; "We welcome the new apprentices to the HAE team and this underlines our commitment towards skills development and encouraging talented and dedicated people to work in the hire industry. I am really delighted that several of our member companies have signed up to take part as 'on the job' experience of the hire trade is an essential part of what the apprentices will do doing."

HAE will report on the progress of the apprentices and will consider expanding the scheme in the future.

HAE would like to express their thanks to the host companies as follows:

Nationwide Platforms who have offered placements to Katie (Lutterworth), Klaudia

(Bristol), Chelsie (London), Jack (Birmingham) and Lewis (Manchester)

Hire Station who took on John (Manchester) and Craig (Wellingborough)
