Leading industrial and domestic door manufacturer Hörmann has further strengthened its global presence with the acquisition of its largest dealer in Finland.
Located in Jorvas, near Helsinki, Mesvac Oy had exclusively been selling industrial doors and loading bay technology from Hörmann since 2003 and also provided the associated service and maintenance. The company was originally part of the Brandt Group and represented one of the most powerful sales and service companies in Finnish door construction.
Following the Brandt Group’s decision to discontinue this business sector, it was a logical step for Hörmann to acquire Mesvac Oy. Christoph Hörmann, personally liable partner of Hörmann KG, commented: “Being the largest sales partner in an attractive market such as Finland, it was the right decision for us to acquire Mesvac. We have collaborated very successfully over the past few years and I am very certain that we can learn a lot from each other to become even stronger.”
The Mesvac company, which had recently recorded an annual turnover of €27 million, will continue to be active in the Finnish market under its name and familiar structure. All 160 employees and management will remain unchanged.
Hörmann has an extensive global presence with over 80 individual sales locations in more than 30 countries. The manufacturer is further represented by hundreds of authorised dealers and sales partners in 35 additional countries.
